Akenis was created by Si’Neka Demery, after her own battle with acne due to Sickle Cell Anemia && PCOS. 

After using various skin care products over the years, she found that her skin was out of control and felt that the products were causing more harm than good. There were many harsh chemicals that were damaging to the skin and changed the skins ph balance.

As a biology major, she began her independent research into holistic medicine and botanical formulas. She created her first product for demo January 11, 2018 which would soon be the Akenis Foaming Cleanser.
